Life As I Know It....

Have you ever looked back on your life and wondered how you got to where you are today? Do you sometimes find yourself questioning the decisions you made? I try to live by the words “No regrets. Your past is what makes you…YOU.”

Friends
                These past few years I have really discovered who my true friends are. I owe part of it to getting my job at Cupcake Island. I absolutely love my co-workers and they have proven to be some of my greatest friends. My friends are a huge support system in my life. Without them I don’t know where I would be. I try to be the best friend I can be. I would like to believe that I am a good friend. I am trying to surround myself with positive people--with the people who are going to be in my life for a long time. At the same time I am trying to make new friends and connect with friends who I am no longer in touch with. It’s hard to know who you can consider a true friend.

Guys
                Sadly I have come to the conclusion that there are no “good guys” left in this world—or atleast Omaha. What happened to “old fashioned gentlemen”?? Where are the guys who open doors for you, buy you flowers “just because”, and who call just to say “Hi”????? I am by nooooo means in a rush to get married—I am only 22 years old, however I thought I would have atleast met a decent guy by now. Most of the guys I end up meeting turn out being jerks! Is It true what they say—“you find love when you least expect it?” 2 of my best friends are going through guy problems. Both were/are with some really great guys—but lately it seems all guys just end up disappointing. I hope things work out for my 2 friends, and I hope they know that I will always be there for them.
                                ***Is there a decent guy who could take me on a date and treat me well***  :P

School
                I am in my last year of college. Summer 2009 I will be handed my bachelors degree. The future, a.k.a life after college terrifies me!!! I want to find a good job—I want to find a job that I like—I want to find a job that pays good money. Should I stay in Omaha or move to another city? I can’t believe this is my last year of college. These 5 years have gone by so quickly. I can truly say that I am happy with where I am at as far as school goes. I have made the deans list—I have a 4.0 GPA—I have really turned things around. It will be interesting to see what the future holds.

My emotions are so overwhelming!—fear, doubt, accomplishment, excitement, disappointment…..
I just have to keep moving forward, one step at a time!

Yesturday (Oct. 21) SUCKED!!!

It was my friend's 17trh birthday and I had to go visit her at the cemetery! I had to lay flowers on her grave. I couldnt give her a hug-I couldnt see her smile!

Then to top that off-I found out that my grandma passed away.

2007 has been a shitty year!

Summer 2007

This summer has been a crazy one. It's definately had it's ups and downs.

I've been working a lot at Cupcake Island-which is a bakery that i have been working at for about a year now. it's tons of fun! about 10 people work there-so you get to know everyone really well...and i LOVE the people i work with!! i am taking a summer school class-accounting-which isnt as bad as i thought it would be-i actually kinna like it. (but shhh...dont tell anyone). OH! I almost forgot to tell you, I moved. Yeah, i moved into my own apartment and i LOVE it. i guess i am not totally alone-i brought the cat along with me. Izzie and I have a grand-ol' time living together. Living alone is better than i ever could have thought-i have the entire place to myself, i dont have to worry about anyone else, i can have people over whenever i want.....the perks of living by yourself are awesome. (too many to list). I've gone to a few concerts this summer-seems like this is the summer for concerts. in the beginning of june my co-workers and i went to faith hill and tim mcgraw. our boss, shirley neary and her husband dan neary, treated all of us employees to the concert. we got box suites-there was food in the suite(not just any food-crab cakes, wings, shrimp), it was an amazing time-i have the best boss in the world. then just last night my mom and i attended the keith urban concert. wow-that was good. he is an outstanding performer-he has such stage presence and it was fun watching him perform. then at the end of august my family and i are going to see josh grobanm whom i adore.

on a more serious note--the down side of this summer....
my friend and co-worker Cady Reynolds passed away. she was in an accident on may 30 and passed away may 31. she was just 16 years old. Cady and her friend Grace were on their way home from a movie-while driving on 132 and center Cady's car was t-boned by another 16 year old driver. both Cady and Grace were taken to the hospital-where Cady later passed away-but Grace was released a few days later. As for the driver who hit Cady--she pleaded guilty to misdomeaner vehiclular manslaughter-or something like that. it was really hard-and still is-dealing with the fact that Cady is gone-it's weird. ugh, why do people have to die?!? She is soooo young too. Cady is the type of person that everyone needs in their life. she had the best smile-could always make you laugh-she was so full of life. She was the type of girl who put others before herself-and would do anything for you.

Currently Listening A Fever You Can't Sweat Out By Panic! At The Disco see related

    Wow! It's been such a long time since I have written anything. I doubt anyone reads these anymore, but I have some free time and feel like writing.

    It's 2007!!! That seems completely crazy to me. So far this year has been good...even though it's only day 27. I am still living with Jesse and Crystal. We have an AMAZING time and I love our apartment. In late September we got a cat. Her name is Izzie and she is 2. She's really funny...sometimes she runs from room to room for no reason. That's why her nickname is "crack kitty."
    I am still dating Scott. It's been a year and a half now. Honestly, who knows where things are going to go. I still wish I could meet someone else. But for now, I am real happy. I am taking 15 credit hours this semester and that is keeping me real busy. Between that and work...whoa! 
    Sometimes I miss the dorms...always having people around to talk to...or walking into another room and relaxing on someone else's couch.  Yeah, I miss it. But it's also nice having my own place...although totally not my own. Just not having a R.A. and dumb rules to follow. I wish I would still keep in contact with certain people from there more. I miss 'em.
    I'm going to Florida over spring break. It seems like I haven't been in forever. It's been over a year. But going to Florida means I will have to tell my parents about my tattoo....which I STILL have not told them about. Yicks!!!
    Anyways, I just felt like writing.
  

So, there is nothing too interesting to write about...soooo, instead I decided to make a list of random things...

1. It seems like years ago that I lived in the dorms. (however, I miss (most of my) roomies, and the guys across the hall.
2. Summer was way too short.
3. Blue Collar Comedy always makes me laugh, no matter how many times I have watched it.
4. Music is my outlet...even though I cant carry a tune.
5. 199 days left until my 21st birthday.
6. I love recieving mail...not bills though.
7. Some nights I still sit around waiting for my phone to ring. (sad, I know)
8. I am obsessed with MTV.
9. I L.O.V.E reality TV
10. How come the food in the tv commercials NEVER looks like what you get?!?
11. Coke vs. Pepsi?....Coke wins in my book
12. I will be attending the Rascal Flatts concert...I am PUMPED!
13. I got a $10.00 off any peircing card from Big Brain...what should I get pierced next?
14. I hate the feeling of wearing socks on carpet...it freaks me out.
15. The new Pepsi Jazz (black cherry, etc) tastes like Bubble Yum.
16. The new Pepsi Jazz (strawberrys n' cream) tastes like Skittles (the blue bag).
17. Pepsi is gross.
18. I buy People magazine just so I can do the crossword puzzles in the back.
19. I love the movie Anchorman.
20. I highly dislike Epson printers.
21. Disney movies are still my all-time favorite movies.
22. I miss "ravs" in the guys' room across the hall.
23. Hoodies are my best friend.
24. Sweatpants are my second best friend.
25. Today I made my bed.
26. I got a job!!!!
27. I *heart* country music.
28. "Life is a highway, I wanna ride it all night long"=the song I am listening to now.
29. FedEx does a crappy job of delievering packages on time.
30. I think K-Fed is a HUGE joke.
31. I love Yoo-Hoo chocolate milk (in the juice boxes).
32. iPod is awesome.
33. Parrot Bay is delicious.
34. I am thankful for having our own washer/dryer.
